TUNING UP - I am Still Your Worst Nightmare, Arnolfini, Bristol Apr 08

Collaboration with Stephen Cornford. Weather balloons filled with hellium are released in the stairwell of Arnolfini. Harmonicas are attached to their mouths. When released the helium escapes through the harmonicas, playing a chord which modulate as the balloons rise and fall.

 

JUMP PIECE - Event for Activity 4 show, DCA Feb 2007

As part of a gallery show I asked the visitors of the private view to join me outside and jump. The idea was to get a picture of us all hovering above the ground. We practiced a few times and then did it for the camera. The resulting photo and sound recording were shown in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition.

 

MADISON LESSON - Participatory event for I Am Your Worst Nightmare, Arnolfini Feb 2007

Over a 4 hour period I invited people (2 at a time) to join me for a 10 minute dance lesson, where I would attempt to teach them the Madison, whcih I had copied from the Goddard film Bande a Part. After 10 minutes we would dance together for the camera. The resulting videos were screened in the Arnolfini bar at the end of the event.
